Congratulations MSP Aviation!
The Indiana Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (OSBE) hosted Entrepreneurship Week June 19-25th, a weeklong celebration to showcase and promote Indiana’s entrepreneurial talent.
Indiana is home to 144,000 small businesses (97% of Indiana businesses are classified as “small”), and they employ 2.1 million Hoosiers, which is one in four. Entrepreneurship Week honors these individuals who have dedicated their lives to achieving their small business goals and are driving Indiana’s economy in their communities.
Entrepreneurship Week concluded with the Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and Launch Indiana. Lieutenant Governor Eric Holcomb, whose office oversees the OSBE and the two centers, presented the honors. He awarded MSP Aviation with the South Central PTAC Entrepreneurship Award.
PTAC has only 6 regions and only 1 company won in each region. They noted that MSP has more than tripled it’s work force and increased sales by 1,000% since 2002.
“It was an honor to accept the award on behalf of the dedicated and hard working employees of MSP”, said John Goode President, MSP Aviation
Each business had to work with a regional office of ISBDC or the PTAC to achieve an award. Around two dozen Hoosier small businesses received honors, making this a high distinction in the entrepreneurship world.
